A legal tech start up focusing on improving affordable access to justice through artificial intelligence. Juris has been accepted into the British Columbia Law Society's innovation sandbox with a mandate to provide affordable legal AI-based advice direct to consumers.
In 2020, we acquired Briteweb, a social impact agency that offers branding, marketing, digital and data solutions for purpose-driven organizations. Over the next 4 years, we helped Briteweb double its revenue but more importantly its impact. In September 2024, we helped management acquire the company and retain a passive interest and advisory role.
RallyRally is a design studio dedicated to social change. In 2022 it became part of the Briteweb network, and like Briteweb was acquired by management in September of 2024.
We were passive investors in Ollie Order, an online order platform that has built the smart way to sell, collect, manage, ship and report your alcohol sales. Ollie was acquired by Next Glass in July 2021 - another Vancouver tech success story!
We participated in and sponsored BC Cancer's Tour De Cure with our fundraising efforts specifically targeting programs to improve access to culturally appropriate healthcare for Indigenous communities. In 2022, MT+Co raised over $70,000 for this initiative.
As a global service provider, Briteweb's social impact team is spread across the world. A number of our people are located in the Ukraine and have been deeply impacted by the invasion of Ukraine. Briteweb has contributed directly to helping our Ukrainian team-members and their families safe.
Our family has donated to Access Pro Bono to support hotlines dedicated to providing critical access to legal services for those most impacted by COVID-19. In addition, MT+Co is one of the founding sponsors of the Everyone Legal Clinic, an innovative program that provides affordable legal services to those who need them and articling positions to students from under-represented backgrounds.
As part of its Reconciliation Action Plan, MT+Co. has created an endowment to support Indigenous students at UVic's ground-breaking joint degree in Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders.
Our family has donated to United Way Lower Mainland to support families in need during the pandemic.
